Mary's surgery is on Tuesday the 16th at the Davis Medical Center in Layton. Surgery will actually begin at about 10:00 am but they will start preperations at 8:00 am. They have to do some special injections to help identify the sentinal lymph nodes...they inject a radioactive isotope about 2 hours before surgery. My guess is that she will be taken back at 8:00 am and won't be able to see anyone until 1 or 2 pm. The surgery itself will take approx. 2 hours. You are all welcome to stop by, just keep the above schedule in mind if you want to actually see Mary. Most likely she will be released on Wednesday morning, but if she is doing really well and wants to go home, there is a possibility they will let her go Tuesday night. I will keep this blog updated as to what her status is on a regular basis so check back often.
Thanks everyone!
